References Documenting Symptoms To Mercury Exposure

amalgam-tooth

Foreword by Ron Kennedy, M.D. (additional text and editing by mercuryexposure)

While there are over 125 known symptoms of mercury toxicity, most of them are vague and nonspecific. When a physician hears these vague symptoms from a patient he / she may not even consider mercury toxicity as a possible cause. To complicate matters the symptoms of mercury toxicity can be caused by many other conditions and illnesses and most physicians (and patients) are unaware that silver fillings are comprised of 50% mercury and still in use. In addition, the patient may not know to mention any recent dental work such as placement, polishing or removal of amalgam fillings, all of which expose patients to extremely large doses of mercury vapor and mercury contaminated particulate matter. Unfortunately, doctors rarely think to inquire about these common exposures. The dentist, of course, doesn’t even hear about these symptoms, because the patient thinks of the dentist as the tooth doctor, and the symptoms of mercury poisoning seem to have nothing to do with teeth.

iaomtREFERENCES DOCUMENTING SYMPTOMS TO MERCURY EXPOSURE (as from dental amalgam fillings)

by James M. Love and Dr. Michael Ziff

Mercury mimics many illnesses. This overview provides references for the many varied adverse reactions and symptoms people can experience when exposed to mercury vapor and mercury contaminated particulate matter (as from dental mercury fillings). This compilation was originally written in 1999. Several of the original government referenced documents can be found at the end of this article. Please feel free to submit additional references of studies to be included on this list.
